From time to time, we’d like to take the opportunity to share lesson plans with you. This week, we’ve found an economics/mathematics unit on United States stock market. This project has students track the profitability of selected stocks over a period of time and to discuss their results as a group. The lesson is geared towards students in grades 5-8 and comes with reading materials, worksheets, and a step-by-step lesson guide.
We thought this was a great way to talk to students about investments, profit gains/losses, or even a bit of American history.
