Fifty years ago, George and Joy Adamson wrote a book about their experience raising a female lion cub named Elsa. The book was called Born Free and it later was made into a film. The book and the film changed forever the way we think about wildlife. This DVD, which just came into our library, documents the real story behind the book, through examination of diaries, home movies, and the memories of people who knew and worked with the Adamson family. The film leaves viewers with a new appreciation for the world of animals we never knew until Elsa and “Born Free” opened our eye. The DVD is called Elsa’s Legacy and is I.D. 2144. Order it by going to the Video Lending Library.
