William StillDid you catch Underground Railroad – The William Still Story last week on WGBY?  If you did, you’ll probably agree that its a perfect fit for a classroom unit on Black History Month.  Tell your students about William Still, who helped to smuggle hundreds of slaves across the Canadian border during the days before the Civil War. Still kept meticulous notes which provide us with detailed evidence of the workings of the Underground Railroad. His compelling story is one of North America’s greatest sagas.
