Bienvenue from Michelle Obama: An Inside Look at Upcoming State Dinner & U.S. Diplomacy Initiatives

We’ve just received exciting news from our nation’s capital!  With a live webinar on Tuesday, February 11, and a new collection, PBS LearningMedia will offer students an exclusive, inside look at the history and significance of state dinners and their relevance to U.S. diplomacy.  The U.S. Department of State and Office of the First Lady facilitated access to a wide variety of historical materials from the current and past administrations that enhance this library of educational resources.

Guest speakers will give students the scoop on what it takes to manage the logistics that go into planning a state dinner, including the selection of gifts, the menu and the creation of the guest list.
