On April 4 Wilbraham & Monson Academy is hosting The City, a conference focusing on the local and global changes, and benefits and challenges of an increasingly urbanized world. The full-day conference includes keynote speaker Ziangming Chen from Trinity College’s Center for Urban and Global Studies and others as well as breakout sessions for educators. Among others speaking at the conference will be Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse, TV producer Mary Steele, and Richard Walker from the Federal Reserve Bank, Boston.
The five break out sessions are: Economic/Urban Development; The History and Innovation of Springfield; The Future of Global Cities; Culture and Arts; Politics and Cities, featuring the following:
