Keeping Maya Angelou’s Voice Alive

A force in my own life, Maya Angelou reminded us, as Michelle Obama said in her recent eulogy, “that we must each find our own voice, decide our own value, and then announce it to the world with all the pride and joy that is our birthright as members of the human race.” As Dr. Angelou famously told Oprah Winfrey, “When you learn, teach. When you get, give.”  You can find PBS LearningMedia’s new educational resources from PBS NewsHour Extra to honor the life of this renaissance woman and civil rights activist who lifted the world with her words.
