One of this year’s Pioneer Valley Teacher of Excellence Award recipients, Stacy-Lyn has been teaching since 2000.  She has a master’s degree and a professional license in elementary education.  She currently teaches 5th grade math and science.  Throughout her teaching career, she has taught grades 3-8.  When we asked how she tries to balance the demands of her professional and personal life, she wrote  that “I have a wonderful husband that is very supportive and helps out tremendously around the house.  I focus on our children’s academics and my career, and he maintains the house.  Stacy-Lyn also shared her favorite website, which is sciencebuddies.com.
