Jessica Lahey, who writes the NY Times blog Motherlode, talked to and emailed 100+ K-12 grade students across the country with the question, “What do you wish that your teachers knew?” She writes that their three main wishes were to be fair, not give too much homework, and treat them like people, all of which, of course, are interrelated.
