“Let Girls Learn” Global Initiative & Girls’ Education Resource Collection

Yes, 62 million girls around the world – half of whom are adolescent – are not in school.  Last week, PBS LearningMedia was honored to be a guest at The White House as the Obama Administration held a live summit to announce their Let Girls Learn initiative, an effort to help adolescent girls worldwide complete their education and pursue their broader aspirations. PBS LearningMedia is proud to expand its collaboration on this global initiative with the launch of the new Girls’ Education resource collection.

In this new collection about Global Learning and Awareness for grades 5-8, 6-12, 9-12 and 13+, students explore why learning about the international community matters.  They also learn about major global issues—including education, global conservation and environmentalism, global health, and human rights—through videos, images, background essays, and lesson plans.
