This lovely tribute to Albert Schweitzer shows the great doctor and humanitarian, whose hospital in Africa treated lepers among others.  It contains pictures that were also in a photographic essay I used to show students where he talked about picking up earthworms along paths after rain and returning them to the earth where they could do their work.  (Following his example, I started doing the same thing.)

The video found on PBS LearningMedia also helps students expand their knowledge of the role that worms play in the environment through the power of breaking down food scraps and turning them into more soil (i.e., composting).
