The National Education Association (NEA)’s highest honor—the NEA Friend of Education—was awarded recently to the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger accepted the award in front of more than 7,000 educators. As you can see and hear, Ms Kerger, who comes from a family of educators, thanked member stations for the content and service we collectively provide to educators. WGBY, an American Graduate Station, is grateful to be among those stations that serve our region’s educators with resources from cradle to career and programming that ranges from PBS KIDS to in-depth reporting and more lifelong learning and enjoyment.
