This photomontage shows moments from many of our summer activities in the Community Engagement and Education Department.  Among them are preK classroom visits to Springfield’s Head Start on Carew Street and the YMCA of Greater Springfield.  On these weekly site visits, children were read to and participated in accompanying activities designed by our capable summer interns.  We also brought our mobile media lab so children could play PBS KIDS educational games.  In celebration of Head Start’s 50th Anniversary, we also made one-time visits to many Holyoke/Chicopee/Springfield Head Start summer sites where each child received a book.
