We continue to share the important work of American Graduate, a public media commitment made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) that builds community awareness of the high school dropout crisis and helps communities implement local solutions..

As an American Graduate station, WGBY is playing a part in this important work and on Saturday, from 11:00am – 6:00pm,  will broadcast American Graduate Day.  The live, interactive event, viewed by nearly one million people, tells the story of community partners and individual champions and how they provide support, advice and intervention services to at-risk students, families and schools.

At PBS LearningMedia, you’ll find inspiring resources from the American Graduate Collection, which features highlights from public media’s interactive classroom resources as well as content to support teachers, parents, caregivers and mentors who are helping at-risk students.  A search of “American Graduate” on PBS LearningMedia also yields a rich number of resources.
