April Fool’s Day: Why Are Some People So Easily Fooled?

The compliments of the season to my worthy masters, and a merry first of April to us all!”  Charles Lamb (1775–1834), “All Fools’ Day”

It will soon be April 1, a fun way to greet this month of buds and blossoms.  (I confess that I sometimes tricked my students by asking them to clear their desks for the quiz I had asked them to prepare for — but really hadn’t.)  It was fun to see the relief and smiles on their faces when they knew I had fooled them.

Perhaps you and students will enjoy this BrainCraft video about April Fool’s Day that looks at why some of us can be easily fooled.
