On Saturday, February 25th, from 10:00am – 3:00pm, WGBY celebrates PBS KIDS programs and characters at Springfield’s Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.  In addition to taking part in many activities, children can meet PBS KIDS characters Curious George, Buddy from Dinosaur Train, Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat and Michelangelo of The Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Children who come dressed in a PBS KIDS-inspired costume or a favorite PBS KIDS character can be entered to win an educational tablet, PBS Playtime Pad.

While dressing as a favorite PBS KIDS character is optional, those who do may want to participate in a costume contest.  As well as the activities PBS-themed program stations, Author’s Alley presents award-winning local children’s book authors and illustrators and offers still more creative activities and presentations.
