Flexible PBS TeacherLine Courses Start October 9

PBS TeacherLine online courses for Pre-K – 12 educators are flexible, collaborative and designed for a teacher’s busy schedule.  They can help you earn PD credits and offer a way to stay on top of your teaching career.

You can explore PBS fall courses and can even try a free 3-hour course entitled

K-2 Science Tips: Animal Adaptations, where you can take a look at the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) on Animal Adaptations for children in early childhood and early elementary grades. You’ll also be provided with a list of related resources for teaching and learning with informational text, recommended children’s books, and PBS KIDS digital resources.

Vocabulary as a Foundation for Learning:  Learn the skills and strategies for effectively building students’ vocabulary in grades K-3 to establish strong foundations for learning.

Developing Algebraic Thinking in Grades 3-5:  In this course, you become the student, solving mathematical problems in order to better understand patterns and relationships to then help your students.

Phonemic Awareness & Phonics:  Prepare K-3 students for long-term academic success with instructional techniques and assessment strategies for developing phonemic awareness and phonics skills.
