Sesame Street offers fun, caring and intelligent support during the COVID-19 health crisis as families everywhere are creating a “for now normal.”
Children thrive with structure in their lives, and they learn best through play — even in everyday moments. Teachers/parents also need support to maintain this structure. That’s why Sesame Street
provides content that you can use all day long to spark playful learning, offer children comfort, and focus a bit on yourself, too.
Sesame Sesame Street: Elmo’s Playdate > In this half-hour special, Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster and other furry muppets have a virtual play date with guest stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Anne Hathaway and Tracee Ellis Ross. Together they celebrate emergency medical workers, doctors and others who are helping us during the health crisis. Dance breaks, songs and games also help children forget some of the daily realities that may trouble them.
This episode is part of Sesame Workshop ‘Caring for Each Other’ Initiative to Help Parents and Children During Coronavirus Pandemic.
