While we want to do all we can to help students focus on academic learning, we also have to acknowledge the toll that the COVID-19 crisis has had on their social lives and offer them support.
KQED Learn, San Francisco’s PBS station, is a free platform for middle and high school students to tackle big issues and build their media literacy and critical thinking skills in a supportive environment.
KQED’s Above the Noise is a show that looks at the research behind controversial and trending topics in the news, offering new videos every other Wednesday. Teachers can also get a Classroom Guide for Above the Noise.
