Hispanic Resources for All Grades All Year!

Whether you’re looking for resources that explore inspiring stories of U.S. Latinos,  take you on a virtual field trip, or provide lessons, interactives and more, PBS LearningMedia is a great teaching tool for all grades!

For young students, Sesame Street for Communities has a wealth of resources for providers and parents as well as 20 happy-making Sesame Street videos in our Celebrate Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month playlist on Youtube.  And you and children can go on a virtual field trip to Mexico City with Let’s Go Luna! on PBS LearningMedia.  (Hint:  By searching PBS LearningMedia for many other PBS KIDS programs such as Alma’s Way and Rosie’s Rules, you’ll find lesson plans, videos and much more!)

Older students can explore how Latinos inform the broader American narrative at the PBS LearningMedia Collection: Latino Americans.  Students can also learn about challenges three Latino Americans faced and overcame in the interactive lesson Latino Americans Share Their Experiences, which introduces students to playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, actor Judy Reyes, and astronaut José Hernández.

And these resources would be incomplete without sharing with you WGBY/NEPM’s very own interactive lesson, Diversity in Latino Culture, which engages high school students in the Latino community of western Massachusetts!
